Price Increase

After careful consideration and loads of research I have decided to increase my basic hourly rate from £12 to £14.
My hourly rates differ, depending on the project but I feel that my lowest rate was too low. This is the first rate increase in the two years since I started up Platinum Administration Solutions so I think it’s been a while coming.

I can’t believe it’s been nine months since I last put a blog post on here.
My apologies, this year has been a little out of the norm for me.
I had a personal tragedy that has shattered my life apart. I’m currently picking up the pieces but it’s been hard and thrown me off course for a while.

But workwise it’s all been good.
I’m currently working at improving my audio transcription skills so that I can offer them to potential clients.
I recently took on another new client that I’m really enjoying working with. I’ve discovered Mailchimp and am loving designing email newsletters for her.

I’m selling even more jewellery as The Beading Lady and loving the creative release it gives me after being very organised and administrative all day.

I’m not promising anything but I will try and update this a little more often from now on.

A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my clients.

Over the past month I have typed up a fair amount of articles, a book (with a few swearwords in it!!) and a medical document.

Answered a fair amount of phonecalls and generally been busy.

And I have decided that as a New Year Special Offer, I am going to offer 10% off my administration services for the month of January 2009.

Well, it’s been a busy few months.

A few of my favourite projects from the last month or so have been:

*Reformating a planning permission document in MS Word.

*Retyping a medical document from .pdf into MS Word.

*Proof reading and advising on a photography website.

And on a personal note I’ve been making bracelet card and selling them on The Beading Lady.

Just to list a few projects completed in September.

*Created a short news bulletin from a variety of newspaper/magazines on a certain topic for a client.
*Typed up a 19th Century Document into a Word Document.

Thought I would just list a few of the projects that I completed for clients last month – perhaps give you an idea of a few tasks that a Virtual Assistant can handle for you.

* A client had a paper contract that needed to be in Word format. It was scanned and emailed to me and I was able to retype the contract into Word format so that it could be amended.

* Client had a book which they wanted to send to a publisher but it needed a bit of tidying up – that’s where I came in, editing and correcting spelling etc.

* Client has a small business but is away from the office at meetings most of the day – needs someone to answer his calls to take messages but doesn’t want to hire a fulltime member of staff just to answer calls. I am now able to answer 90% of them myself and those that I’m not able to catch (i.e if I’m on another call) are handled by my CallPartner associates. Messages are emailed to the client where he can catch up on all he’s missed when he returns to the office.
